Jen in the District

Jen Schultz is running for Congress in CD8.

Jen continues to travel all around the district to listen to folks and hear about what matters most to them in their communities. Throughout July she’s been to Bemidji, Aurora, Gilbert, Eveleth, Nashwauk, Keetwatin, Cook, Aitkin, Isanti, Silver Bay, Two Harbors, Sawyer, International Falls, Marine on Saint Croix, Hoyt Lakes, Hibbing, Ramsey, Cambridge, Rush City and still has more stops planned through August.

Volunteer Opportunities:

Weekly Phonebanks – We are continuing to make calls into the district. Thank you to all of the folks making calls to DFLers and talking to them about voting for Jen in the primary. Phonebank training happens every week on Tuesday at two different times 12:00pm-1:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm. We will continue through August 2. Swing in to get trained on how to use the system and then you can either continue to join us on Tuesday or make calls on your own time from your home.

Postcard Writing – Our postcard writing crew is continuing to work through our lists and hand write postcards to folks across the district. Thank you to everyone who has been working on sending these out!

Parades – The parade season is winding down, but there are still some happening through Labor Day.

Door Knocking - We have been out door knocking with the DFL at different offices. We will be hitting the doors harder in the coming weeks as we onboard field staff for the general election.

Primary GOTV - We cannot take for granted that we are the favorite to win the primary, we still need to do the work and prove that Jen has overwhelming support from DFLers in the 8th. I'll be sending out a Primary Get Out The Vote email with ways to plug in for the last push through Primary day, which will include door knocking and calling opportunities.

If you are interested in plugging into the campaign for any of these volunteer opportunities or any other volunteer opportunities, reach out to Adrienne@jenschultzforcongress.com

Lawn Signs - The demand is high for signs. Our first order was for 1000 and those are gone. We have ordered more regular sized lawn signs and we expect them to be ready within the next week or two. We have received our first order of 2x4 signs. Our first priority with our next order will be to fill existing requests for hosting a lawn sign and stocking DFL offices. If you are in an area that does not have a DFL office we will figure out a system to get you the signs you need for your community. If you or someone you know wants a sign, please direct them to our website and have them sign up to host a sign. This is the quickest way to get a sign in your yard. Connect with Adrienne about any sign related questions.
