
Farmers, local food producers, marketers and meat processors are invited to attend a Meat Processing and Agricultural Forum, Wednesday, August 10, 2022 from 6:30pm – 8pm at the St. Peter Community Center (Community Room 219), St. Peter, MN.
The DFL Rural Caucus is hosting this forum to discuss what is being done to expand market opportunities for Minnesota meat producers and to create a more diversified, resilient meat supply – beef, pork, sheep, lamb, poultry, goat.
The forum will also highlight state legislative initiatives for family farmers - drought relief, soil health and emerging farmer programs. Information on Forever Green and other programs that make Minnesota farmers more resilient in the face of a changing climate will also be discussed.
