Brian Walker grew up on a farm in Kansas and brought those roots with him to Ramsey, where he raises horses and has built a life in House District 31A. He's served his community on the Ramsey Planning Commission and Parks and Recreation Commission. After January 6th, Brian left the Republican Party. He didn't leave his values: hard work, a strong and fair economy, good schools for every kid. Through long conversations with his wife, he came to see that the party had abandoned those values, and him. He found that the things he'd always believed in had a home in the DFL all along. He's proud to be a democrat today, and hopes to help more recovering republicans on their journey, too.
