I am a lifelong resident of rural Central Minnesota, save for four years' time in the Navy. My experience is as varied as could be over the course of fifty-seven years in the workforce. I worked on beef cattle farms, potato farms, dairy farms, produce farms, and raised sheep and lambs on my own farm. I spent many years logging, ten years in road construction and trucking, and twelve years on the railroad, mostly as an engineer. I’ve met so many people in all of those lines of work that there is probably not a complaint that I haven’t heard, nor a solution that I haven't heard offered. Listening to people, and sharing their concerns, is what I see as the primary job for a representative.
