Hi! I'm Nicky Hardy! I am a scientist, mom, substitute teacher, and community volunteer in Pequot Lakes and across Crow Wing County. We moved from Detroit, MI to Pequot Lakes in 2018, but I was born and raised as a rural Minnesotan. Science has always been my calling, and knew from a very early age that I was going to land in the sciences. I was a double major at Minnesota State University Moorhead in Biology and Chemistry and I went on to earned my Ph.D. from the University of Nebraska Medical Center for my work in using technology to understand the immune system and continued that work in the Department of Chemistry at Northwester University in Evanston, IL. Upon returning to Minnesota, I I shifted gears to focus on my family, substitute teach, and do community work. My goals as a legislator is to build bridges to bring people together. Unity is a major theme of my campaign! I want to bring people together from across political, rural, suburban, and urban divides.
