Representative Luke Frederick serves in the Minnesota House of Representatives. He was first elected in 2020. His policy area focus has been on mental health and substance use disorder(SUD) treatment services.

Working at the St. Peter state hospital for the past 20 years, Luke has seen first hand the most extreme cases of mental illness in the state of MN. This is why he has worked his entire time in the legislature trying to expand access to mental healthcare which includes in 2023 where he secured funding for the Center for Rural Behavioral Health.

In 2024 he was able to expand the mental health safety net in MN by leading the effort to expand the Anoka Metro Regional Treatment Center.
